Job Title: Summer Club Assistant

Salary: $7.64 hour, FLSA non-exempt

Job Description:

This is a summer seasonal position only with flexible hours.

The duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Working the Fitness Director and Fitness Coordinator on the Summer Youth Club program.

• Supervision of children within the Carbon Valley Recreation Center’s Summer Youth Club both inside and outside of the Recreation Center.
• Provide appropriate supervision and care for children left in the Center’s care. This includes attention and care, coordinating play and rest activities.
• Cleaning and maintenance of facility equipment, toys, and materials that directly impacts the safety and concern of the guests of the Recreation Center.
• Providing customer service to children and adults.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Must be 18 years old. Applicants must have a current American Red Cross First Aid and CPR certification or become certified within 30 days. Must be able to work all shifts including nights, weekends and holidays. Not being able to meet this condition will disqualify an applicant from consideration. Must also be able to lift at least 25 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications:

A background in early childhood education or experience with a structured child care program.

Employment with CVRD is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a background investigation. Examples of pre-employment background checks may include, but are not limited to the following:

TheChildcare area may close early if no children are in
attendance 1 hour before childcare closing hours.

Saturday 9:00 am-5:30 pm
