Karate |

The Bennetts Karate dojo is a family of black
belts that have been teaching in the Frederick
area for more than 5 years. Adults and youths
age 7 and older may join at any time. Attention
targeted to all skill levels, regardless of
martial arts experience. Students are taught a
classical form of Okinawan Karate-Do known as
Uechi-Ryu, as well as Aikido. Uechi-Ryu has
roots in Chinese Kung-Fu; Dragon, Tiger, and
Crane style. Classes emphasize body conditioning
and centering using half-hard, half-soft
techniques. Students develop self-discipline
through focus and awareness of mind, body, and
spirit. Emphasis is placed on confidence
building, discipline, dedication, and desire. It
is our goal to demonstrate that karate begins
and ends with courtesy and respect.

Friday Class
Two independent classes separate by age/rank
Time: 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm for ages 7 – 13 yrs and
students at beginner level
7:00 pm – 8:15 pm for adults ages 14 yrs + and
advanced students
Cost: $45/month for unlimited attendance
$10/class charge
Talk to instructors for uniform pricing, and
eligibility for under-aged or handicapped
children.
